Walt Disney Animation Studios returns to the Hundred Acre Wood in Winnie the Pooh, the first big-screen Pooh adventure from Disney animation in more than 35 years. In this new movie, Owl sends the whole gang on a wild quest to save Christopher Robin from an imaginary culprit. As always, it turns out to be a busy day for a bear who simply set out to find some hunny. The film is inspired by five of the stories from A.A. Milne’s books in classic Disney hand-drawn art style.
The film will be directed by Stephen J. Anderson (Meet the Robinsons) and Don Hall (story writer of The Princess and the Frog). This version will be based off of off five short stories by A.A. Milne. The voice cast includes veteran Jim Cummings back again to voice the Winnie the Pooh and the bouncy feline Tigger, Craig Ferguson, Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants) and Bud Luckey (director of the Pixar short Boundin’). There will be seven new songs from Bobby Lopez as well as the Pooh theme song performed by Zooey Deschanel.
