An adaptation of the acclaimed novel of the same name directed by Rowan Joffe. The film received four nominations at this year British Independent Film Awards (BIFA). Sam Riley stars in the film as Pinkie, a razor-wielding teenage criminal who's working his way up the gangster ranks in 1960s Brighton. Unfortunately for him, his alibi for one crime is shaky and dependent on waitress Rose (Andrea Riseborough) and Ida (Helen Mirren), a friend of one of his victims, is determined to uncover the truth of the matter.
