A coming-of-age indie drama which first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and the SXSW Film Festival in Austin last year, is directed by first-time feature filmmaker Anthony Burns, and co-wrote the screenplay with brothers Brandon and Heath Freeman, who also co-produced the film. The story takes place in a small town in Texas in 1983, and have “Twilight” star Ashley Greene play one of the leads.
The film follows a 19-year-old boy named Ritchie (Shiloh Fernandez) who spends most of his time at the local roller rink where he works and hangs out with his friends, Brent (Heath Freeman), Brent's sister Michelle (Ashley Greene) and Kenny (Taylor Handley). Ritchie is struggling trying to figure out his future, what he wants to do with his life and where he wants to go to school. When a tragedy occurs in Ritchie's life he is forced to make these decisions earlier than he expected.
