Adapted by David Nicholls from the 2009 internationally praised and bestselling novel of the same name, the film is directed by Lone Scherfig (An Education), starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess. It tells the story of two friends who meet on the night of their college graduation and proceed to meet exactly once each year on July 15 for the next two decades.
After one day together in 1988, Emma Morley (Hathaway) and Dexter Mayhew (Sturgess) begin a friendship that will last a lifetime.
