An upcoming spy thriller film directed by David Hare, who was best known for his Oscar-nominated screenplays for “The Reader” and “The Hours”. The film stars Bill Nighy, Ralph Fiennes, Rachel Weisz, Felicity Jones, Michael Gambon and Ewen Bremner. It serve as closing-night film of the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival, and also marks the third film at this year’s TIFF for Weisz, who has The Deep Blue Sea and 360 also premiering.
The story centers on Johnny Worricker (Nighy), an MI5 agent who has learned to keep his observational skills perpetually operational. However, a top secret document containing unsavoury revelations about compromises made by Britain’s government will push Johnny’s professional abilities, as well as his integrity, to their limits.
