An upcoming adventure film based on Brian Selznick’s novel The Invention of Hugo Cabret. It is directed by Martin Scorsese, which marking his first film shot in 3D, co-produced by Scorsese, Johnny Depp, Graham King, and Tim Headington, and written by John Logan. The film stars Asa Butterfield (The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas), Chloë Moretz (Kick-Ass, Let Me In), Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jude Law, Michael Pitt, Emily Mortimer, Christopher Lee, Helen McCrory, Ray Winstone, Richard Griffiths, Michael Stuhlbarg and Frances de la Tour.
The film tells the story of an orphan boy (Butterfield) living a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station. With the help of an eccentric girl (Moretz), he searches for the answer to a mystery linking the father he recently lost, the ill-tempered toy shop owner living below him and a heart shaped lock, seemingly without a key.
