A British independent romantic dramedy which premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival, based on Paul Torday’s acclaimed novel about a scientist who looks to fulfills a sheikh’s dream of bringing the sport of fly-fishing to his homeland in Yemen. Directed by Oscar-nominee Lasse Hallström (Chocolat, Cider House Rules) and written by Oscar-winner Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire), the film starring Ewan McGregor and Emily Blunt alongside Kristin Scott Thomas and Amr Waked (Syriana).

The story follows Britain’s leading fisheries expert (McGregor), who embarks on a seemingly impossible journey of realizing a sheikh’s vision of bringing the sport of fly-fishing to the desert. After being approached by a consultant (Blunt) to help her make this vision come true, he first dismisses it as absurd and unachievable. However, when the Prime Minister’s overzealous press secretary (Thomas) latches onto it as a “good will” story, the unlikely team face all odds and set themselves on a mission to prove the impossible, possible.
