Six Trailers for BACK TO 1942 with Adrien Brody & Tim Robbins

Also known as Remembering 1942, from Blockbuster Chinese director Feng Xiaogang (冯小刚), the film was adapted by Feng and Liu Zhenyun (刘震云) from Liu’s renowned and best-selling 1993 novel “The Memory of 1942” (温故1942). It tells the epic true story of the famine in Henan (河南饥荒) in the 1940’s where 3 million people died of starvation and 30 million people were transplanted.

The Huayi Brothers (华谊兄弟) film, slated for a late-2012 release, stars Feng regulars Xu Fan (徐帆) of “Aftershock” (唐山大地震) and Zhang Hanyu (张涵予) of “Assembly” (集结号), and boasts the performances of two Academy Award-winning actors -- Tim Robbins of “Mystic River” and Adrien Brody of “The Pianist”, who play a Catholic priest and an American journalist, respectively.

The latest international trailer was shown during the 37th Toronto International Film Festival recently, while first five promotional teasers was released at the Beijing press conference in August.
