First Official Red Band Trailer for Spike Lee’s OLDBOY Remake with Josh Brolin

OLDBOY is an upcoming English language remake of South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook’s second installment of The Vengeance Trilogy, directed by Spike Lee (Inside Man, Malcolm X, Do the Right Thing) and written by Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend, Thor, The Cell), based on the Japanese manga of the same name by Garon Tsuchiya and Nobuaki Minegishi. The film stars Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, Sharlto Copley, Samuel L. Jackson, Richard Portnow, Michael Imperioli, and Lance Reddick.

It is a provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of an advertising executive, Joe Doucett (Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.
