STILL ALICE is a drama film written and directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland (The Last of Robin Hood), based on Lisa Genova’s 2007 bestselling novel of the same name. Premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival, the film stars Julianne Moore in the role of Alice, a Columbia cognitive psychologist diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease. Alec Baldwin plays her husband John. Kristen Stewart, Kate Bosworth, and Hunter Parrish play her children Lydia, Anna, and Tom.
In the film, Alice Howland (Moore), happily married with three grown children, is a renowned linguistics professor who starts to forget words. After being diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s, Alice and her family find their bonds tested.
