Debut Trailer for Michael Almereyda’s Sundance Sci-Fi Drama MARJORIE PRIME with Jon Hamm

MARJORIE PRIME is a science-fiction film written and directed by Michael Almereyda (Hamlet, Experimenter), based on Jordan Harrison’s Pulitzer Prize-nominated play of the same name. It stars Jon Hamm, Tim Robbins, Geena Davis, and Lois Smith. The film was premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, where it received the Alfred P. Sloan Prize.

In the near future, a time of artificial intelligence: 86-year-old Marjorie (Smith)—a jumble of disparate, fading memories—has a handsome new companion (Hamm) who looks like her deceased husband and is programmed to feed the story of her life back to her. What would we remember, and what would we forget, if given the chance? Also starring Geena Davis and Tim Robbins, is based on Pulitzer-nominated play, exploring memory and identity, love and loss.
